Launched in 2017, Project Compound is a one-stop source on the topics of business, personal development, and well-being for ambitious go-getter individuals worldwide who wish to improve the quality of their lives.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Aykut Erketir and welcome to Project Compound. Here is a little bit about me:
I am an entrepreneur, lifetime student, and a fitness enthusiast with an obsession for self-development and fulfilling my potential as a person.
I've had an entrepreneurial spirit since the age of 7, going door to door selling sweets (which got shut down by my parents) in the city of Gaziantep, Turkey. In 2001 my family and I left Turkey and came to Canada and since then I've been involved in various other mini-ventures from selling Yu-Gi-Oh cards to gift baskets until I was allowed to work at the age of 16.
Realizing I needed to focus on growth and my future, at the age of 19, I've begun my self-development journey and have since focused on learning and growing all areas of life.
I've started Project Compound as a mean to openly share my passion and journey (including my life and goals) with the world.
“Compound" or "Compounding" is defined as something that is composed of two or more elements. Ever since I’ve understood this principle I’ve been living by it and I’m here to share my journey with you. If you firmly believe It’s time to stop dabbling and begin “composing” the actions you take today and tomorrow (and every day from this point on) to achieve the greater life you envision, then you are at the right place.
I truly believe this blog will help you as a guide to take action upon whatever it is you wish to accomplish. Whether it be operating a successful business, achieving that body you envision or mastering your mind. I am here to share my experiences and the best strategies and tools to effectively multiply your success.
From this point on, this very moment; I want you to take out a pen and paper and write this note: “The reason I want to succeed is, __________ and I will not stop until I achieve it.” Now take that note and post it somewhere you will see it every day, forever. Post multiple copies of it around your house, your office, make it the wallpaper on your computer and smartphone. Because a strong “why” is the determining factor whether a person will go through with any promise or not.
If you've given up on any goal to date, chances are your 'why' was not strong enough!
Remember, those who died yesterday had plans for this morning. And those who died this morning had plans for tonight.
Don’t take life for granted and take action on your goals. Whether you join me on this journey or not, never give up and always go forward.
Thank you for taking time to read this and I hope to see you on the blog more often. Click here to read blog posts.
